Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada and is American. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. DiFranco has released over 20 albums. Ani diFranco was the first musician to start her own record label in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco was a born on the 23rd of September, 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father was Italian origin and her mother was from Montreal. Her song 32 Flavors was composed by her and is performed by Ani. This track is on her sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. On the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a variation of this song. In 2013 DiFranco apologized after it was discovered that she would be hosting the three-day event on an old Louisiana slave plantation. The workshop was cancelled, however, she did not express any regret. DiFranco released a new apology days afterward. While she has been known by the name of Little Folksinger, her music spans many kinds of genres and collaborates from Pete Seeger to Chuck D to Prince. New Orleans is where she is based.
