Ina Garten is an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002, has 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten began her career in the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy and budget reports. Though she initially found it intellectually stimulating she eventually lost interest. She then bought an Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food retailer. Her store was extremely successful over the course of 18 years until she decided to sell it. She then began the first book. Others followed, and so did magazine columns. The Food Network television program also began and rapidly gained popularity. The company sells numerous things, from food ingredients food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina has never attended an institution for cooking or was she employed at a restaurant. She is entirely self-taught. She is well-known for her effortless style of entertainment as well as her simple cooking. Her most well-known recipes include quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts.
